7.8 MAGNITUDE. APRIL 2016. ECUADOR.
The earthquake that changed everything — and proved the science.
FROM NASDAQ BOARDROOM TO EARTHQUAKE RUBBLE — AND BACK
Most coaches teach theory. Douglas Beatty has lived the science.
As CEO and President of Struthers Biotechnologies Inc., Douglas led a $500M value NASDAQ-listed corporation to become one of the fastest-growing biotech firm in the United States — backed by over 30,000 investors. He was recognized as South Carolina Businessman of the Year and inducted into the U.S. Library of Congress Who's Who in Business.
In April 2016, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck the Pacific coast of Ecuador — and changed everything. Douglas was living there, building his export business, and serving as Canadian Embassy Warden and disaster relief military liaison. As the ground settled, he led relief efforts and built a functioning pizzeria from the rubble of collapsed homes — feeding displaced families, and proving in real time the very neurochemical resilience he now teaches.
He calls this the First Floor Protocol: the neurological foundation for intentional renovation under extreme pressure. Today, Douglas channels three decades of high-performance experience — mentoring under Tony Robbins, the boardroom, the earthquake, the neuroscience lab — into a practice dedicated to one outcome: engineering on purpose performance.
"Your Second Act starts now. Shift your mindset. Master your identity. Scale your results."
— Douglas W. Beatty
